i have a 36 bow under a 130 watt light (65 actinic, 65 10,000K) and wanted to know if this is good for most corals. i prob have 30 gallons of actual water with my LR taking up some space. so i figured (130watts/30 gallons) that i have 4.3 watts per gallon.
and also i have my lights on a timer but i dont like the way its set up. my tank is in a bedroom so if i do a 8am-8pm schedule that would be fine except then my rooms light will be going on and off constantly so it might scare the fish at night. right now i have them go on at 3 and off at 12 because at 12 at night im sleeping so when they go off my light isnt going to be on and off to freak them. the problem with this is that my tank only sees about 6 hours of night cause if the lights go off at 12 and the sun comes up at 6 or 7. i dont know what to do...any ideas
btw i have no corals yet...until i get all of the lighting problems situated.
