how long are pc's good for

I have heard that after so long the pc's need to be replaced. I was wondering how long that is? I was looking at getting a used system that is a year old. Should i replace the bulbs?

if the lights were used for a year they should be replaced.. i wouldnt go longer than a year..

pc bulbs last about 10-12 months. they still light up after that but they have about 1/2 of there output has they would if they were new.
