How long before i wait to test Level's

Hea i just added in some top of water may be 1.5 G .
And i read my instructions some more for my Seachem tester kit that broke. the thing that broke was my Referance liquid for my ammonia.. so i still can do all my test..
So how long will i have to wait to run the test tonight.. as i want a place to start as getting LR tomorrow.. ( will post some readings when i'm done with them)
oh when do i add my fresh shimp to the tank..???

Ammonia .05 or less... we think that is from the CC (yes i know dont' want to here it and i'm Just joking)

OK Here are my first set of test... hope i did them right (nothing in the tank...)
PH 8.12
ALKALINITY 6 (not sure if this one is right)
NITRITE 0
NItrate 0
Ok need some help with the Ammonia test.. as i look in the little container it comes with and it has about 10 little yellow cirlcle things look like hole punches and these little jelley thing.. what do i do with this test???
Need some help with this one that has a Seachem testing kit.... as there are the Free ammonia test and the total ammonia test...
