How long before looking for possible dead, new Anthias?

Hi all, I just received a few fish. The female Anthias was out for 1st two days then the eve. of the second day she looked very lethargic. Haven't seen her since (this is second day) All livestock seemed healthy.(got em here) Do I move rock and look for dead fish or give it a little longer? I know those Anthias need to eat a lot, but I hate to stress her further if she's just hiding. Thanks

I know Disbar anthias are sensitive and die easy, I don't know if it's stress or what. I had a whole harem, I think if memory serves, 4 females and one male in a 90g tank...one after the other would die, over about three weeks time... one female made it, she lived for years.

Weird, mine are (were!) Lyretail Anthias. Nowhere did it say "difficult". My problem is I can't find them. Turned the whole tank upside down but no female. Then the other disappeared. (male is fine! quite aggressive though) Do I need to find them or let the clean up crew take care of it? Thanks a lot!

Hi,
The CUC will care of it...l would do an ammonia test for the next 3 days just to make sure there are no spikes. You shouldn't have any problems as long as the CUC is adequate to take care of the body. If the CUC is good, you won't even find so much as a skeleton. A quarantine tank may have helped to keep the fish alive until the stress of being moved was over...I have seen some fish disappear for a week and then show up.
