how long can a crab stay out of water

how long can an emrald crab stay out of water?? because im thinking mine somehow got out of my tank. it has been about 2 hours since i last saw him.

Not a lot of info to be found on that. I will say longer than you think. Unless of course theres a cat or dog in the house. We used to find crabs that hadn't been in stock for over a week hiding behing tanks. Of course in a distibutors fish room its so wet that I'm not sure that even counts.
