How long can Ick last?

I have a damsel that devoleped a white spot on his side last week. I was just keeping a eye on it, now about 7 days later he still has the white spot and another tiny white spot on his other side. Can this be ick? I thought it would have spread faster. He is not scratching and is eating like a pig. He is in a 46 gal tank with a couple of peperment shrimp, cleaner shrimp,Serpent Star, feather dusters, Clown, 60 lbs LR, 40 Lbs LS. The water quality is good. Do you think I should move the Damsel to QT?
