How long do you have to run tank w/out fish to get rid of ich?

probably to keep it safe 4-5 weeks (worked for me)

If ich was in the dispay, leave it fishless for 6 weeks to be certain. It can be 4-5 weeks, but we have had members get ich again after 4-5 weeks. Leaving it fishless for 6 is safest. After removing all of the fish it seems pointless to rush it. We have had members put the fish in at 4-5 weeks and they got ich again. Better safe than sorry. 6 weeks is best. All ich is dead by then from lack of host.
