how long does coral food stay in the tank?

I have been reading different sites on just how long coral foods stay in the aquarium. I've read everything from just one day (24hours) to several days. I am really interested on what you think.
Keep in mind people feed different things for coral, so please add what you feed and how long you believe it remains in the tank.
I feed anything from mysis (for my shrimp only, but corals I feed coral frenzie, phyto feast, and cyclops. I hear that this stuff can stay in my system for up to 3 days, pending on how much I feed.

I've seen PE mysis stay for 2-3 days in a tank that didn't have many fish or CUC. If a tank with good CUC, it doesn't last 24 hours.
I'm fairly certain that if I leave my skimmer off, Oyster Feast can last about 24hrs in my tank, at least my corals are more puffy/have fuller polyp extension for about that amount of time.

I forgot about Oyster feast, great stuff!! roti feast is good too. The store where I got these state without the skimmer on, these can stay in your system for up to 3 days.

I wouldn't doubt it. I have a sump AND a canister filter, plus calcium reactor, etc, so doubt it's staying in my system for that long, even if I leave the skimmer off. I guess a lot depends on how many corals you have/how healthy they are.

agree totally. not to throw this off topic, but my coral look good and I feed the tank 2x a week, very heavy, as in very very cloudy. I have 0 fish in the tank but do have a blood shrimp and cleaner shrimp, so i do feed a very little amount of mysis to feed them.
Any info on phyto feast and the long term affects on this? I dosed my tank with this and my water was foggy for some time

I've never used phyto in a reef tank, only in a barren tank to feed some copepods, and it was a new tank so it was already cloudy.
