how long does ich last after treated with copper? and how will i know when it is gone?

i am treating with copper...i have read about hyposalinity and it sounds pretty effective. I treated with copper before i knew about hyposalinity.

When treating with copper, you need to be sure that your copper is compatible with your copper test kit. Maintain theraputic levels of copper in the tank of .25-.30ppm for 3 wks.

the copper i am using says that one dose treats the tank for 1 month.......I am also feeding my fish garlic soaked brine shrimp i have heard that it helps build the fish's immune system and helps defend against ich.

Terry B, does the cupramine have any effects on inverts? would it be safe to use it without taking the inverts out?

Copper is toxic to all invertebrates. You should take them and your live rock out of the tank. Preferably copper should be used in a hospital tank so you don't damage your sand also.

ok thanks elf was just making sure so i don't make a big mistake and kill all my inverts.
