How long for for my new lights?

I just purchased the coralife 30 Inch Aqualight With 2-65W 50/50 Lamps and i'm only 15 days into my cycle. How long should I have these lights on???
second, i got in my aqua c remora skimmer, and should this be used during the cycle? i am having a diatom outbreak in my tank and hopefully this would clean it up a little.

dont run your skimmer until your cycle is finished...the diatom outbreak, is probably from tap water maybe? if you are going to do a fowlr you can run em 10 hours should be sufficient..back it down until you see the diatom problem go down, also a clean up crew will aid in controlling brown diatoms....
