Ive got a 75 gallon with a retro light setup with
Hagen/GLO ballast front with
2 - 24" GLO Life-Glo 6700k
Hagen/GLO ballast back with
2 - 24" GLO Marine-Glo Actinic
6 moon lights
The moon lights are always on, the actinic are on from 2pm-10pm,and my 6700k are on from 3pm-9pm. The tank has been up and running for a year now and I've just replaced the bulbs. Any timing or lighting choice suggestions appreciated.

6 hours sounds about right.
If it isn't a reef, the lighting is controlled more by your pleasure, and less by the tank.
So make sure the tank is on when you are going to see it.

I apologize its a 75 gallon reef with approx 90lbs of live rock. It also has a few mushroom corals, 3 xenia, 2 zoa colonies (10 - 15 in each colony) and 2 ricordia frags. It has a sixline, a bicolor blenny, a mandarin dragonet, 2 fire shrimp, a few stars, and your typical cleanup crew (hermits, emerald, cucumber, and some turbos).

Hi,
I was always told 12 hours on, and 12 hour off unless there was a problem.
I don't see anybody doing that here on the forum, and I have been doing this since I began the hobby.

Any thoughts?
