Does anyone have a source/site/book that gives aproximate times of Qting your "new" fish. I have had my Mandarin in for 10 days he's eating great (live brine) and looks and acts healthy. He did recover from a fungas after about five days of treatment. Every thing I read says QT for two weeks...is that long enough? too long?

A lot of people QT for just 2 wks, but 3 wks is better. By 3 wks, most diseases processes have made themselves known. As long as he is doing well and eating, and go the 3 wks.

Thanks Beth. Just FYI I went on line through a google search and found a site with info. on feeding him. The "hot tip" was to put live enriched brine in 1/2 hour after the light went off. He cruises about the LR in my qt and is able to get the guys settled in under the LR and in cracks. He doesn't seem to mind me and my flash light:)

Yeah, that is my understanding as well. However, if you ever have to medicate the mandarian, you won't be able to use LR in the QT.
