How long to do hypo?

How long should I keep the salinaty at 1.009? I just started at this low because with a 180 gal it take alot of water to drop it from 1.023. I've been droping it for the past week and a half and finally got it to 1.009. I been having ick breakouts but not bad. I've been adding Herbal Ick Attack when ever I notice to pop up and it slowly goes away. I'm tired of doing this because this stuff isn't cheap. So how long should I keep the salinaty this low?

I was told that my hermits should be fine. Also I don't have any room for a qt for that many fish. It would probaly half to be a 100 gal atleast. I'm just doing the hole tank that way I'll get rid off anything else in the tank.
