how long to run lights??

20 gallon, no corals, how many hour should I run my lights. As of right now I just have an ordinary flourescent bulb.

Well, you probably only need to consider the natural amount of time your fish would have the light in the wild. So, I'd say anywhere from 8-12 hours is fine.
