I bought a small Blue Hippo Tang about 1 month ago. He was the size of a quarter. He is currently the size of a silver dollar. How long will it take for him to reach full size?

I got my hippo when it was the size of my pinky fingernail. That was 3 years ago and he now is about 4 inches, my book says they reach 12 inches. Also they don’t get their full size in a fish tank. I think it has allot to do with how often and how much they eat as to how fast they grow.
