How long?

I recently purchased a R/O system (110gpd). I have filled up (2) 5 gallon water jugs, and emptied them out....should I be ready to fill up a 5 gal. jug and put it into my tank? Im worried it is going to harm my fish. Someone please chime in.....what is the PH balance supposed to be? Right now it is at the pinkish levels not dark at all...is this bad?

Most new RO makers recomend that you throw out the first 10 or 20 gals befor useing it, so your call. If its just for topping off then IMO dont worry about the PH of the FW. Alk. and Cal. levels in the tank will stablize it.
