how many animals allowed for a 50gal tank

1 spotted grouper
1 black bar filefish
1 yellow tang
1 tibicus angelfish
1 hermit crab
1 crab
1 sebae anemone
2 snails (can't remember what they are called)
all of these are in a 50 gal tank, I'm not planning on getting anymore fish for at least 6 months(I want to make sure these guys live) just curious about the amount of animals and if that could be having an effect on the tang and his ich breakout. by the way, do poeple not like yellow tangs, or is there something wrong with them? I've been reading other postings and poeple seem to talk bad about them.

Yellow tangs are territorial and aggressive fish. They also like to swim a lot. You should have a tank that is at least 4 feet long for it, preferable a 75 gallon or larger.
The grouper will get big (very big).

They're also ICH magnets, as you're finding out. You might want to add a cleaner wrasse, and add some garlic to his diet.
