Depends on the maturity of your system, the size of the system, how stable your calcium/alkalinity/magnesium is, how stable your other water parameters are... so many things.
In a nutshell, you can get away with adding multiple small corals. Just be careful in adding larger SPS colonies at one time.

I agree.
If parameters and tank is somewhat mature and in great condition. U can add a few at a time..just give them plenty of space..and watch for chemical warfare.

you should, imo, be able to add a ton of different corals at the same time without affecting water quality too much. now, if this is your first coral in the tank, i would recommend going slowly to see what survives.

if adding a lot at once, i would keep a close eye on your alk, cal, iodine and so on and so fourth. you want to make sure your tank can stay stable or help maintain stability, again i would keep a close eye on those #s

+1.. if you haven't alot of experience, you don't want to set yourself up to lose a bunch of money at one time... so its recommended to add one at a time if new to the hobby.
adding stony corals also increases consumption of CA, mag, and alk so you gotta account for that too.
