I was setting up a 110 G tank and setting up a 29 gallon sump. Because someone gave the sump to me. Well it was working great with the pump running for the test then I turned off the return pump and I saw mt sump start to fill to the point that it would have overflowed.
Well I would hate to have a power outage and have a few gallons of water spill on my floor. Sumps are kind of expencive so for now I am going to put a battery backup on it.
So my question is is there a set size sump per gallon of water? I have never seen any type of list. I wish I could have avoided this problem but I just never thought of it. if anyone knows of a list let me know.
