I'm about to upgrade to HO t5 lighting, I have reserched this and everything I have read has called for a 4 strip light for my 45 gal. To me that seeems like an awful lot of light ,and will use a lot of power. How many hours do you recomend I keep it on for ?? Will a 2 strip light work for me???
I plan on getting live rock and corals appropiate for whatever light I end up with. I've read where it was advised to cut down light to 4 hours for an algae problem (which I have also) but since thay are calling for a 4 strip HO light just wondering if 4-5 hours is long enough for corals and fish.
Tank at the moment ....45 long fish only
T5 NO coral life
magnum filter
korona (sp) power heads for water movement
future tank...............would like to have live rock and corals for the lighting I select ,but I will have mostly fish.
Anyone have any thoughts on this???/
thanks in advance
