Thank you so much, you are very sweet. You always seem to answer my posts.
This will be my 1st small tank w/ coral and I am clueless, I was use to a 55g years ago. It has been awhile since I have had corals I just hope I remember everything...
Any ideas about anything else I need for a small Nano? as I said clueless to such a small set up with corals.
Also I not sure if I am remembering right, but am I not to dip my corals b4 adding them to my tank, I seem to remember doing something like that before?

well yea nano is helping you great. just one question what do you guys mean dip the corals?
the K nano is good but alot of people say it only shoots to one direction. i think the K1 is good cause the flow expands. but your good with the K nano

nissan, If I remember right, you they say you should always dip ur corals so to kill of any bad things that might be on them, I remember I had to dip something in Kent iodone but for the life of me I can't remember what it was, I will have to look alot of things up again, it has been years since I have kept any coral, out of site out of mind sort of speak. Maybe someone could chime in here for us, anyone?

I was always afraid to dip or add anything to my 55g tank that came out of a bottle, scared the CRAP out of me to even think about it...lOl I hope some1 chimes in as I said I am rusty since it has been years that I have housed corals, and going from a 55g to a 12g really scares the fish pee out of me...

Ahh, you will be fine. We are here to help you. Just look into the coral dip and dip everything you add. Keep check on your water parameters and water changes and you will be fine

Take a capfull of the coral dip, and pour in a gallon of SW. I leave the coral in the water for a few min, rinse in a clean bowl of SW then add to tank

double post?
so a small dip and a gallon of salt and leave the coral in there for like 5 min and after a rinse it goes in?

nissan the best thing to do for the dip is only add coral if your dipping it when your doing a water change that way u wont u know hurt ur coral u wont kill it but juss shock it a tad i try an think about it.. wat if i was pulled out my house and into the cold and shoved back into my room id be mad! plus u save water dont have to waste good sw.. so pull out some sw from ur water change and do the dip there and dispose of the water u were already gettin rid of in the first place.

1: acclimate
2: pull out old sw
3: take coral and dip in old sw, temp still both the same
4: let it sit
5: wallah put back in tank
