Thats the same kind I have, with the blue lights. I have 3 across my 280 gal., so 2 is probably plenty for your purpose (they put out a good amount of light when everything else is dark).
I think I have had mine up for about a year, maybe year and a half. I have them plugged into a timer so they come on around 11:00 and run until sunrise. I just s.crewed them directly onto my metal light housing.
I run mine every night, but I have read where some people cut them off one night a week, or maybe a couple nights out of the month. Something to do with giving the fish some solid darkness occassionally,
I've read that you should put a moon light every 2ft of you tank. My tank is 6ft long so I needed 3. On the back of that package for those lights you have it says that as well.
I have a full LED strip that runs across the entire length...Here is a picture, flipped up so you can see.
Top is with the lights on and the bottom is with the lights off.
I used to have the individual ones, I paid $35.00 each..this strip cost only $40.00

Could you tell us the brand of that light strip? I'de like to know also. Or PM me too !!!
PM is not privat, they watch that just like the site..so I can't tell you where I got them without getting into trouble. I did found them online. I was looking for MH lighing and found all types of lights. I think it had depot and mariine in the site name. The strip has no brand name that I can see on it, and the box is long gone.
Sorry, that is the best I can do.

It might be a light fixture by R2 solutions.
R2 Solutions Moonlight. At least it looks similar.
I think your right I counted the LEDs and its a 36 inch model, If I only need ONE it would be fine but I think Ill need more for the 125 and the other ones cost a bit less all together.
Dose the light cover you entire tank flower ??
Not sure which way to go.
Not to be a stick in the mud, but you don't need any. If you like them, have at it, but just wanted to make sure you weren't thinking your tank would be any worse without them...

Yes, it is 48” and they have ones for bigger tanks. I gave the answer to where I got them in a secret sort of way. Switch the words around and it gives you the name of the online store..I hope I don’t get in trouble. SWF does not carry them, but it is another online store so it isn’t allowed.
