How many Nassarius Snails?

Well i have a 29 gal. bowfront with a 2 inch sandbed and i was wondering if getting 5 Nassarius Snails and 2 mouse cowries is fine and also do they eat stuff off the sand or do you have to feed them.

if there is nothing in the sand, you'll have to feed them.
nassarius snails are not algae eaters. they like to eat meaty foods. they come out at tank feeding time and clean up what hits the sand bottom. as for detrius, i'm not sure. i've never seen my nassarius eat fish poop.

your tank is a 28 gallon buddy. and all you need is one, since thats all i had. 5 is a little much. my brother didnt have that much in a 6ft 125 gallon. all he had was two

The snail amount is good. The mouse cawries are detrivores. You do not have to feed either one.
