hey i recently have started a 29 gallon tank and it has been about 2 months since i started. I want to order some fish from this site but to reach the minimum i had to order 5 fish. I already have 2 damsels, an anenome, a starfish, a clownfish, and an eel goby. I want to add a pygmy angel, 2 green chromis, and 2 firefish gobies. Is it safe to add all of these fish at the same time or what other method can i take to get all of these fish.
Thanks
Dustin

Well I will say you will be over stocked. I have a 29 gallon and I have 5 fish, BTA, starfish and lots of coral. However, I have a filter rated for a 75 gallon and a skimmer rated for 150 gallon. So that keeps everything really clean. I personally am overstocked, but I think my filter size helps out with the bio load on my tank. Just my 2 cents.

I would try to get rid of the damsels. If you add those fish listed the damsels will torment and probably end up killing the cromis and the firefish from stress induced desease.

If i get rid of the damsels then can i order the 5 fish and add them at the same time or is there a method i could use so i can add the fish 2 at a time spread apart somehow?
thanks

No. Don't add that many fish to a 30 gallon. Some will almost certainly die in time if you do it, and you'll have wasted your money. I think you're already fully stocked. You can do 3-4 small fish in that tank--5 would be pushing it. And that's assuming you're pretty religious about your water changes and filtration.
Oh, and as for the spreading apart thing, you should generally leave a week or two between adding fish at a minimum.
But really, you shouldn't add fish to that tank. If you want to add one fish, you might get away with it. More than that, and you should really remove a fish. You should also be really careful with that starfish and anemone in there: they are EXTREMELY delicate and need incredibly high quality water. You're already pushing it with that many animals in such a small and new tank; add anything, and things will die.
Sorry if this sounds harsh...just don't want you to be disappointed or waste your money.

too many fish added at a time = possible cycle.. take it slow! that way you will not overcome the biological filtration and start a cycle..
should i be doing my "religious" maintenance on sunday??
just kidding, lol

i would definatley not put more than 5 fish in your tank. and the eel goby might get big for your tank. but i have a 29 and i only have three fish im thinking about getting a fourth but i would rather but understocked than on the border.
