How many PC watts for a 37 gal reef tank?

Hey everyone,
So im building a hood for my 37 gal reef tank, and ive decided on 2 PC bulbs. How many watts should they be? Is 3-5 watts/gal used for PCs too? I know "you can never have too much," but I was just looking for opinions.

Yes, same figuring...3-5 watts for most set ups. 5-7 watts for a reef tank is a good way to figure. As far as just PC's for a reef i am not sure.

If you are just looking for opinions, I have 3- 24" VHO's on my 37gal. They are 75W each and I think the color is awesome. You might check out VHO before you decide on PC. The acytic is true unlike PC. Just my opinion.

its pretty much personal preference, some will say go with MH, some will say PC's and some will say VHO's they all have their ups and downs and all will do about the same thing. I personnally went with 144w PC lighting over my 30 gal reef tank for because it was the most economical for me. I am extremely happy with them.
