I have two in my ten gallon with no problems, one I bought one was a hitchiker. shouldn't be a problem unless when you put the second one in it goes by the area the first one was in they don't move much after they find a good place to hide
I have a tiger and a caribbean pistol in my 55gal. The caribbean has a hide out in one of the crevices in the rock. The tiger is paired up with a banded gobie and has tunnels that they go through.

I have the same two. My pistol stays buried while the carribean goes under rocks but doesn't bury through the sand. The carribean is also much larger and is a LOUD popper (at least mine is).
