how many powerheads would u need for a 90 gallon tank. i have 2 is this good enougph or do i need more? does it bother the fish (the strong current) in a reef tank?
Most fish don't mind the current. I have 3 in my tank plus my return in my 180.
I would say 2 in a 90 would be fine as long as your return is pretty strong.
Once you get some corals in there if you need more you can add them then.
I would have as many as you can get, keep the water moving good, and put one behind your live rock so you can blow out the detritus that collects behind it, that was the best thing I ever did for my tank.
