How many starfish in a 55 gal

Does anyone know if it is OK to have a choc chip starfish along with a red general starfish in the same tank, or maybe two cc or two red? Thanks

Is this a reef tank or fish only? Neither of the stars that you mentioned are reef safe. Furthermore, I would think that only one would be the most that I would put into a 55. Not so much because of space issues, but I know from experience that starfish require special effort to keep well fed. One has a better chance than two.

Before I had three power outages that have officially destroyed every living thing in my tank I had 6 assorted Serpent/Linkia star fish.
these guys were recruited to help keep the tank clean along with many hermits and snails.
I recommend that you get as many as you like but watch out for the type!
Choco- They are not compatible with much. ReD generals are not too compatible either.

If this is a reef tank, your stars are not a good choice. If a fish only (assuming you do not have wrasses, triggers, puffers, etc), two would be fine but they must be spot fed.
If this is a reef, you will not get away with 2 Linckia for long...very poor choice for multiple animals as they can not be spot fed and will compete with each other for food (and a 55g is mighty small for most Linckia anyway).
Brittlestars are not a particular problem...again, just keep them individually spot fed.

how about a serpent? our brittle got big, but gets along with our serpent.
I spot feed both, mainly the serpent b/c the serpent is the one that comes out and begs for food. the brittle rarely comes out for food.
