I would not feel comfortable putting a tang in a 75g but if I had to choose it would be only one Yellow, Scopas or Purple.

Tomini and Kole are also good choices of tangs that stay on the small side. I agree with Dogstar, only 1 in a 75.

With all due respect to promise, I would not get a Ctenochaetus sp. for a 75g. IMO, although some stay smallish, they are more active, need more space ( LR for grazeing ) and are much ' less hardy ' when in stressfull conditions like a too small of a tank than the smaller Zebrasoma sp.

I agree with not putting any tangs in a 75. The only ones that generally do okay are the yellow, purple, and scopas. Even then, I would only suggest one at the most.

I would personally feel that the best choice is a Kole (aka Yellow eye tang) for long term. IMO, NO other tang is suitable as a long term inhabitant of a 75g. Mulitple tangs can be a signficiant issue due to territoriality.
However, you will certainly hear from many who say they do and everything is fine. However, it is important to note that you should be making judgements on fish that actually been in the tank for years, not months. And, IMO, nearly all tangs should...if "fine"...outgrow this size tank.
