how many teens are into this hobby?

how many teens are into this hobby b/c im 13 and i think everyone else is like 20 or 30

14 here.. been into the hobby for about 5 months. I don't think age matters very much if one is very responsible and knowledgable.. and mature. I think alot of adults couldn't take care of a reef.. and some kids can. You don't see many younger people in this hobby though.

Hehe I am still only 12. But my bday is less than a month away and I can join all of yoiu 13 yr olds! By the wat how do u guys get the money for this hobby. SOOOOOOO expensive. Lol in fact I am using all of my birthday presents for my aquarium. My parents got me 30 lbs of live rock, my grandma is getting me my reef lights(stilll debating on what i want), my friend is giving me a 50 dollar gift certificate to a pet store and my aunt is taking me shopping at a pet sote for anything. O and I also gte to pick out a coral from my parents instead of going somewhere for a bday party. I know that is pretty lame but i am obssessed with this hobby. ~RYAN~

well i ask my dad for money sometimes and b day money and i made a rule to never spend a single penny it works i have like ten buckes in change
so save your money i have been saving for i think
4 monthes and im getting a 65 gal tank and my dad said get good grades and ill pay for some of the stuff

Im 12 also and i will be 13 in june.Hey zains reef what part of ca do you live in.I have had fw tanks when i was 8 and then i got a 40 gallon and i did all fish then i started to get so corals and then now i end up having a 50 reef and i am saving my money so i can get a bigger tank /w MH i have had my reef tank for about 7months and i have 1 green fiji lobo brain,Frogspawn,xenias that are spliting right now and green star polpy,some mushrooms,finger leather,and 2 bubble corals

Well i barely fit into the teen category with just a 8 months till 20...Enjoy the teen years while you can they fly by fast

Im 14 and been in for ummm... 2 years... wow ... that's my longest lasting hobby I think. How do you guys pay for all this crap when you can't get a real job?

I'm 14.. and I have a real job. I work at Publix bagging groceries.. not too much funner then that.. gotta support my terrible spending habits and fish tank somehow and allowance just dosn't cut it..

Good to know there are people at a young age who are into this. I know I wish I was into this hobby when I was in my teens. I just turned 22 in Jan. and wish I could have gotten stated younger. I'v been at this 6 months and love it.

Does 19 still count. I turn 20 in August. You 13-year-olds must have rich mommies and daddies to afford the hobby LOL! I wish my rents helped me out that much. Well...actually, they just helped my buy a condo, so I can't complain.

31 - wish I started this hobby when I was 13- If you stick with it until your 31 you will all be experts in the reef keeping hobby.
HOLY COW --I wish I was 13 again!!!!
Also you guys/gals please don't start smoking - It is very hard to quit and you will regret it FOREVER!!!!

20 turning 21 in july, i've had saltwater tanks since i was smll but not a reef. man i wish i had started younger. also wished my parents loved me more and helped my addiction. enjoy you younger years. highschool kicked tail. college is just one bill after another
