How many times a day you feed your fish

What have has everybody found to be a successfull formula for feeding their fish. I would like to feed my fish as little as possible to keep nitrates to a minimum. I do have a protein skimmer and refuge with cheato macro algae in it. I have been feeding my fish three times a day. I am at work during the day so I feed them three times between 6:00pm and 10:00pm.
I have Naso, Vlamgi, Dusemeri, Yellow, and Hippo tang, Emperor angel, mated clowns and a Bang cardinal in a 100 gallon tang. I have had my tangs over a year and they are huge. I was thinking of backing off to just once per night. Would that be a mistake or you think the fish would be fine.
Thank You

I feed 2 medium size portions a night. The amount it takes to disappear in about a minute or less as well as one sheet of seaweed selects and turnip greens. I do have a huge skimmer and fuge to help keep nitrates down though.

All of those fish (with the possible exception of the clowns) really do need three feedings per day for long term health.
Your problem is that you're way overstocked. The 3 largest tangs and the Emperor angel are far too much for that size tank.

I have a lot of algae eaters in my tank like you do. I feed 2x/day...Mornings a sheet of Nori. Nite my homemade concoction..

Many Thanks to Beth!!!

As long as you don't overfeed and keep up with water changes..You should be good 2 go!!!!

Turnip Greens, I'm intrigued. From the grocery store?.....I give Nori in the morning, pellets when I get home from work, and frozen in the evening.

Yeah I feed turnip greens from the grocery store. $.89 cents for a crap load and my naso and hippo tear them up. Have shown remarkable growth since I started feeding them about 6 months ago. Way more nutritional value then romaine and way more digestable. Check out this link

Just to give you an idea of the comparison type in romaine in the search on this site and you can compare. These things are loaded with all kinds of vitamins and minerals. I should probably starting eating some myself.
