how long until i can put an anenmoe in my tank its been up for about a week now???

Is your tank cycled? Being that you said a week, I would assume not.

Anemones need pristine water along with stable water conditions and a tank needs to mature for months to become stable . But obviously you know something that everyone else doesn`t .

From my experience, 6 - 8 month is about right .. yes, you ca start earlier if you want to try .. but if I were you, I would wait.
To cycle your saltwater tank, you need more than just a week .. if you have a fresh water, yes, 1 week may be enough.
If you have LR and LS, try cycle your tank 2 month before adding any live stock, especially if your tank is new. You have to give a chance for the beneficial bacteria to grow. Those invisible bacteria will help your livestock live span. Without them, it just like dipping them to a bucket of saltwater. It will be alive for only short moment.
Patient and you will be glad. Your LFS will tell you anything so you will buy because all they care is your money. The live stock die sooner, the better their pocket. How deep is your pocket?

From your other post..you have two Maroons in a 10 gl.....and now you want an anemone too...I can only guess you want one to host the clowns...too many mistakes...size, filtration, lighting...all issues on such small tanks. Not only for the fish, but especaly for a hosting type anemone.....

An anemone such as a BTA should not be kept in a 10 gallon tank. Nor should 2 Maroon clowns....
All will outgrow the tank. If you want clowns, go with smaller species. As for an anemone, no hosting anemone will stay small enough. They will all swallow the tank.
