I have a 60 gallon tank and I was wondering how to determin the right ammount of powerheads to use. How much current should I have? It's dimensions are:
48 1/2" Height
16" Width
17 7/16" Height
Thanks for any help.

Much depends on the inhabitants but at a minimum around 10 turnovers per-hour. IMO up around 18 turnovers per-hour is more what you should shoot for unless you are running a sps tank... in sps tanks, the more the better.

I always heard 20-25x for reef tanks.
There are upsides and downsides to this much current though. Sometimes I have difficulty finding a spot in the tank for a new frag where it won't be blown away by the current. On the flipside, I haven't had any readable levels of nitrate since day one.
