how much gph in a 75?

i need to know how much gph should be in a 75 gallon mixed reef tank. i want to get rid of my nasty looking powerheads and put in some koralias.

10x-50x turnover. Your display is the volume used for calculation.
F.O softer and SPS at the higher side. For mixed reef aim for around 15x-20x.
On a 75g display it would be neighborhood of 1000gph - 1500gph flow.

What do you want to keep in the tank? What you want to keep will make a big difference on what kind of flow you want. If you are just keeping LPS and softies it should be fine. If you are wanting to keep SPS I think that you are going to need some more.

On my 75 I have two of the #3's (rated at 850 gph each) and a 750 gph return pump (Around 33x turnover rate). I have a bunch of softies doing good with this much flow. This might be a little much but I don't have any dead spots and the flow reaches all the way across the tank.

as for the benifit of the sps, i would do two #3's... one on each end of the tank pointed foward and down a little and one #2 in the middle pointing foward towards the glass. should keep everyone happy
