How Much is Too Much?

I have a 135 I am about to start setting up and I am going to use a 55 for a sump. The 55 will be about a foot or so under the 135. So here is my question. I already bought an Iwaki pump rated for 1200gph, no, that will have to send to 2 different places as the aquarium is an oceanic reef ready. One run of tubing will only be about 3 or so feet, no big deal, but the other one is looking at more around 5' or so. Should I buy another 1200 gph pump just to run to the far side. I figure by the time it gets to teh output, the gph pressure should be more like 700 or so. Also, I'm not 100% sure on what the overflows on the reef ready are rated in gph. what do you think? 1 or 2?

The only reason I "need" 2 return pipes is that there are return holes on both rear corners of the tank. I guess I could find a way to plug one of the holes, but I was just thinking maybe just get two pumps. One for each return.
