The Dog face has always looked meaner, and the porcupine just always behave like clowns to me. Is there an actual difference in aggressiveness or are all puffers pretty much about the same as far as aggression. My dog face is my only fish that my humma humma doesn't punk. I've rarely seen him show any aggression towards my puffer, I don't think its entirely due to the size differece, because i once had a Red Sea lunar wrasse that was huge in comparison to my trigger and he constantly punked and harrassed the wrasse......feel me in guys

I've only had dogface puffers myself, but from what I hear, porcupines are a lot meaner, especially as they grow big. I've read many stories where a porky bit and even killed a dogface or other fish.

Perhaps one of the most disturbing posts in a long time.......

Probably mean 'fill me in'.......
Agreed with R.C, it's the other way around. Porky can get very mean and I've heard of them killing other fish as well. Dogface's are probably the least aggressive of the large puffers (Porkys, Stellaus, Mappa, Guinea Fowl, S&S, etc)

My Dogface is very passive. But not towards inverts. He quickly dispatched my serpent sea stars when he finally realized they were a food item to him.
