How much sand

I personally prefer about 2 inches, you can just fill it up to the top or just above the black molding that surounds the bottom of the tank.
If you would like a DSB then you will need more. If you tell me how many inches you want I'll look it up on the sand calculator, or someone else can for you.

If you go to ******* under the calculators there is a sand bed calculator that will give you approx. how much aragonite and LS you will want in your tank at your desired sand bed depth.

"A deep sand bed is roughly 1 pound per gallon"
"general rule of thumb is 1.5 lbs of sand per gal..."
I don't know about that guys. A Deep sand bed is 4-6 inches deep. In my 210 I have that and I put 750 Lbs of sand in it. So I would say a better calculation is 3 to 3.5 pounds per gallon.
