How much wattage?

Want to upgrade my PC to metal halide. Found a couple cool retro kit and my question is what is the difference of corals i could keep by going with the dual 250 watts as opposed to 175. I will have 200 watts of PC running simotaneously. My 85 i about 24" deep. Please Help!!

just go with the 250s if heat isnt an issue....its not that much difference in $$$$$....the light will penatate deeper and the coral will grow better...

With a tank 24" deep you have to go with 250s. 175 will not penetrate that deep. Light will get there, but not enough to support any corals on the sb.
