reef ready tank about $250-280 depending on where you live. everything else depends on what you chose:
for example you could use a standard AGA stand @ $150 or a modern series at 3 times that amount. there are other options as well.
you could use 100lbs of liverock which will cost you close to $400 or you could use half live rock half base rock which will cost you about $250
you could use 100lbs of live sand which will cost you $300 or you could use aquarium sand that will cost you $100 or play sand that will cost you $6
you could use two retro fit 250mh for $400 or you could buy a MH fixture for $600 and up or you could use retro VHO, pc or T5 for $250-350.
you could use a $120 coralife protein skimmer or a $400 euro reef
you could use a name brand acrylic sump for $300 or a DIY 30 gallon for $90
you could use a $30 return pump or a $150 return pump.
there's a large area between minimum amount and max amount that can be spent. I'd say prepare for at least $1500 if you are starting from scratch with everything new.

my oceanic 90 bowfront metal series tank stand and canopy cost $1200. Save, plan and do it right. You will be much happier later down the line.

i like to use the 20 - 30 dollars per gallon rule.....just for proper setup....actual costs may vary but it's a reasonable guestamite

I set up a 90 gallon last summer. It was an upgrade from my 12 gallon nano. Cost me about $1000 with coral and fish. Here is how. I went and bought 2 tanks each one was a 55 gallon. The first one I got for the rock and the second I got for the light and rock.
Here is what I ended up with:
90 gallon AGA tank - new
Cherry stand - new
about 150 lbs of live rock
about 100 lbs of sand
Several fish including a purple tang and blue throat trigger.
Protein Skimmer w/pump (Aqua Clear Aquatics for up to 150 gallons)
Coralife Turbo Twist U.V Sterilizer 6x-18watt
Aqualight Pro Hqi Lighting System ( 492 Watts ) * Extra Set Of Metal Halide Bulbs
more powerheads, nets mag floats, pumps and ...than I could ever need.
Not to mention about 15 different corals. I traded some stuff away for other corals and I have extra in case something fails. I also have parts that if I dont use I can sell.
Of you want to get a big tank be paicent and get a complete set up from someone. Dont think that the tank has to be the one you want.

A reef tank is a money pit. Never ending cost. I am converting my FOWLR and just dumped another grand into it. I just got some new lights, pump, ph monitor, LR, test kits and so on.

we could throw numbers out at you but it all depends on what you want and how much you want. Theres a lot differenting factors to this. We can give you guide lines so you don't buy an extreme amount of money on one thing when you didn't have to. a lot of these numbers are pretty accurate. Prices will differ. DO RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING! i didn't and pay'd for it out of my wallet.
