How often do shrimp molt?

I have had a fire shrimp for about 3 weeks now and he just now shed for the first time. How often does this process usually happen and how long should I expect him to go before he sheds again. Just so I know if things are ok with him. Should I be adding Iodine to the water to help this process. I have a 20 gal tank with no protein skimmer. Water parameters are perfect.

my cleaner i had molted about once a month also. no you should not add iodine to the tank for the shrimp. this is an outdated method that actually causes harm to the invert.

mine are on a 2.5 wek cycle, its clockwork, 1 day after molt, eggs appear on both, 2 weeks after eggs, the eggs hatch, next 4 days they pick at themselves, then finnaly on the 19th day MOLT!

I use Reef Plus and Reef complete by seachem and that is it for suppliments except for DT's for my anenome. My coral banded and cleaner molt about once a month. I'm sure my peppermint shimp molt I just haven't seen it.
