how often do you clean your tank?

It seems like three or four days go by and there is hair-like algae growing the sides of my tank. Is this bad? What can I do to stop it from growing so fast. I have a 75G FO tank with a Penguin 400 and a whisper 300 filter. My protien skimmer is in the mail as we speak. Will that help?

What type of water are you using? RO water or Tap water? Check your phosphate levels, the nasty stuff thives in high phosphate levels. Also, when did you replace your bulbs last, poor lighting can also be a source.
