How often do you guys feed your eels?

i have a SFE ive had for about 6 weeks or so id guess. i started feeding him fresh squid the second day i had him. he was eating a very good amount of squid but after 4 weeks or so he slowed down on his consumption. after looking around on here, most people were feeding shrimps, and few said their eels wouldnt eat squid. so i figured id try some shrimp. the first time i put the shrimp in there, the little guy ate a shrimp and a half. now here we are a week and a half to 2 weeks later, and he wont eat. do u think the little guy isnt hungry? or maybe hed prefer something else to eat? any input is appreciate.
also, the only changes made to the tank in these few weeks were the removal of 2 damsils. they were bullying everyone so i took them to the LFS.

I feed my Fimbriated and Snowflake Eels every couple days or so. They get any of these on any given day: Shrimp, Octopus, Squid, Smelt, Goldfish, live shrimp, Krill, Silversides, and other meaty foods.
I would try and vary his diet.
Hope this helps!

do u keep all this in the freezer? or do u just buy a serving or 2 at a time? i was thinking about trying to make some food. like throw all of the above in a blender, then freeze it in ice cube trays.

The only problem with that is that the peices may be too small, to provide adequate food for your eels.
My Whitemouth and Hawaiian Dragon morays were fed strips of grouper, salmon, snapper, whole shrimp, squid, etc. You can buy the fish, in fillets, from the grocery store and kept frozen. Make sure, when buying from a grocery store, that everything is RAW and WILD CAUGHT.

Some of it I freeze, some not. I usually have fresh shrimp on hand.

I agree.

I agree with Mr. Jefferson. A wide variety of store bought frozen items. My Zebra Eel comes out looking for food every other day, so I feed him 3 times a week. I used to have a Snowflake that did the same thing when his tankmates were being fed.
