How old do clowns need to be to breed?

I ask this in a different thread and didn't get a responds so I thought I would try a new thread.
I got my clowns about a year ago and they were very small, after the fighting one is bigger and is the female. They go everywhere together but no egg yet. How old do your clowns need to be before they breed? They are in a 55g and are the only fish in the tank.
Any advice is welcome

I have heard that a year is the minimum, but it might take a little longer for the female to fully mature. But every pair is different and has their own timeline. I can tell you that I have had my female for almost 4 years and the male for over a year, and they just started laying eggs. I think they're like this
and don't start until after you have given up on the whole idea.

I visited a clown breeding forum and from what I can tell there 18 months is a minimum, more are saying 2yrs for both parties..
