How should I mount my frilly mushroom

I picked up a frilly mushroom that is ot mounted to anything. I placed it on a rock so that hopefully it would attach itself, I noticed that it contracts when lights go out and during the day it gets lifted up by my turbos snails wwhen they come cruising by. Should I put a dab of glue to hold it down?

Many people put a dab of super glue on the bottom of the mushrooms to get them to stick. Try not to get it on the top of the mushroom.
