I just bought a seaclone 100 on E b @ y and it didnt come with instructions on how to properly adjust it. I have alot in my collection cup but Im pretty sure I can see a build up on the surface...
whats the proper way to adjust the seaclone?
...the build up Im seeing is from being under skimmed, right?

i have one of those also and im not that happy with it at all....i found a site that tells you some modifications you can make to it to make it more efficent but other than that the only way to adjust it is to tinker with the air intake thingy

You can go to the manufacturers homepage and download the directions. Or go to the 2 doctors site, they also have the directions. I am using it and I don't mind it but maybe I don't know any better.

what u want to do is flush out the air bubble inside the bottom o the J tube untill u see just small bubbles on the bottom part of the tube. now to fine tune it u have to look at inside the skimmer and makesure it mostly produces fine bubbles and not those big ones. try to minimize the big bubbles and try to get as much minibubbles u can by adjusting the nozzle. if ur lost ill try to show pictures if u like. if u did it correctly ur tornado would almost be smooth. if not the tornado would kinda be real thin and wobbly inside the reactor.

I took off the foam ppad that goes inside the tank, and it seems to be working better. I dont know if I was wrong or right by doing this, but it seems to work better

Put a new, better air valve to adjust the air flow. The screw type valve that comes with the skimmer itn't the best. Use the T valves that come on the CPR skimmers. Also, to increase the amount of suction and water flow, which will increase efficeincy, cut the connector from the air supply tube to the pump down. Cut it down to the point where it basically the pump connector and hose connector. I'm not making too much sense, basically cut the plastic funnel looking part off. It looks like a funnel with slots in it. Hope I'm making sense?
