how to build hood for metal halide for 55 gallon

I have the same setup with 2 250W MH. I would like to know as well what is the best way to use the MH. Should I just use one or both, or also add PC's?

You both will probably need to get at least 2 actinic bulbs also. As for as a canopy goes there are may out there. custom built, standards or DIY. The plans you will need to search for. I recommend the height of the canopy to be 12 inches off the water to help stop the heat from bulbs going into the water. You will get may opinions about that though.
