How to calculate amp draw on a circuit?

The GFCI thread got me thinking about the circuit I am going to be putting my tank on. I'm not exactly sure if I have enough amps going to the outlet that I'm going to plug everything into.
Is there a way to find out the amp draw on our electronic equipment? Also do they sell GFCI powerstrips (I'll google this after I'm done post haha)?

It really depends on what is on the circuit now. A 15amp breaker can power 1800 Watts (about 18 100W lightbulbs worth), anything over that and it will trip. When you are adding in electricity for a fish tank I would also go with a 12 gauge wire instead of the normal 14.
First thing I would do is map out the circuit you want to put the fish tank on and figure out how many outlets and lights it is going to. And then look at what you have left.
