How to catch an engineer?

My engineer goby is driving me nuts and I think I just want to get him out. I regret putting it in my tank. Is there a way I can catch/trap it without tearing apart my tank? Please don't tell me I have to leave it.

Build a fish trap. That's what we did to get out a pinapple trigger and an angel. Got the angel diary night, trigger three nights later now they are bye bye.

Build a large box.
Place box upside down and proper up on a small stick.
Tie a long string to the stick
Place a rubix cube under box
When the engineer goes in to solve the puzzle, pull the string.
And that's how you catch an engineer. happy trapping!

Out of plexi glass . With a slide up n down door. Drilled a small hole, put plastic with string to pull. I'll attach a couple of pictures later when I get to my computer. Very simple to build. End result....happiness. :rotfl:

Of course this is the fish we wanted to keep lol

There is a little piece of plastic, we tied some thread to it, plus a hole on the top where we would be the food thru. string went up and around to the opened back of tank. We would just sit there and wait for him to go in pull the string and the door would drop. You'd have to put yours on the bottom of tank though. Hope this helps
