How to clean UV Sterilizer

Hey,
Is anybody has a good way of cleaning UV Sterilizer glass tubes form algae and other stuff? I have 18-Watt Corlife/Sealife. Manufacturer suggests using solution of backing soda and warm water doesn’t seem helping too much.

If the UV is working properly there should be nothing to clean.Algae can not grow inside it...Try using a damp rag with table salt as an abrassive..Or maybe a 3M scuff pad...
