How do you feed one? Target feeding? Im going to place an algae sheet and perhaps some clam as suggested here, I just want to make sure ours is going to be okay. We just got it a week ago and its a bit sluggish to get going.

How big of a tank is it in. As far as I know they are one star that cant be spot fed. They eat off your live rock only and thats why they need to be in a lrg tank with several hundred lbs of live rock

I figured... Its small (2" from tip to tip) and is currently in my 20 gal with approx 40lbs of live rock that came from my big tank (meaning established rock). I know it will eventually need to be re acclimated to my 125 but figured for now (since its so small) it would be fine..

I would be wary of keeping it in that tank - by the time you may notice a problem, it can be too late. It is better off in the 125.
As a general rule, they can not be spot fed, and require lots of mature LR. I would try but most do not eat it. What they are eating on that rock is open to debate, but it is quite clear that their survival rate is pretty closely correlated to amount of LR available. They do not appear to eat "algae" per se.
I haven't seen a real blue Linckia that small...do you have a pick?
